Welcome to Holy Cross College! Saints Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) is a series of online events to prepare you for a smooth and successful transition to Holy Cross College. New students are expected to complete all SOAR sessions. Some sessions will be broadcast live, and others are prerecorded for you to view on your Holy Cross Applicant Portal. We are excited to begin this journey with you!

Academic Advising Session

Live Sessions

All live sessions require registration within the Holy Cross Applicant Portal. The registration form allows for the collection of parent and/or guardian email addresses for event reminders. Live sessions will be broadcast using Microsoft Teams Live events, which will allow viewers to submit questions and comments in real time. Registration for each event is limited to allow all participants the opportunity to submit questions if necessary.

Holy Cross Town Hall

All new students and their families will be invited to join us for a live town hall on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 9:00 p.m. ET. Campus leadership will present campus updates, explain COVID-19 plans, and answer questions from viewers. Click here to register


Other New Student Requirements

The following tasks and forms are available for new students to complete on the Holy Cross Applicant Portal:

  1. On-Campus Residency Application or On-Campus Residency Exemption Request
    1. The application is for all new students who will be living on campus. The application collects housing preference information in addition to serving as a legal housing contract.
    2. The exemption request is for any new student who will not be living on campus.
  2. Add a Meal Plan or Upgrade Meal Plan
    1. Students who are not living on campus have the option of enrolling in a meal plan for the semester or year.
    2. Students who live on campus have the option up upgrading their meal plan for the semester or year.
  3. Health Background, Immunizations, and Health Insurance
    1. This form collects medical history, lists immunization requirements, and gives information about student health insurance options.
  4. Tuition Policy and Excess Funds Authorization
    1. This form serves as a legal contract for payment of tuition and other charges.
  5. Access Holy Cross Student Technology Services
    1. This form gives directions for accessing the Holy Cross Student Portal and Holy Cross email account.
  6. FERPA Notification
    1. This form serves as disclosure of a student’s rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). It also gives instructions for granting Holy Cross College permission to share student financial information with parents/guardians as well as how to request parent portal access.
  7. Academic Advising and Course Registration Questionnaire
    1. This form helps guide conversation during the one-on-one advising session.
  8. Campus Arrival Registration
    1. This form allows students to register for their preferred move-in session.
  9. Final High School and College Transcripts
    1. All new students must have a final high school transcript submitted to Holy Cross College. The transcript should be official and show a graduation, diploma conferred, or completion date.
    2. All transfer students and first year students who have taken college-level courses should have final transcripts submitted to Holy Cross College if credit should be considered for transfer to the Holy Cross transcript.
  10. Official ACT and/or SAT Scores
    1. If an official test score was not submitted at the time of application, please have an official score sent to Holy Cross College. All scores reports from all test sittings should be submitted.
